Services Available from The Institute Assistance for those requiring the services and advice of a qualified licensing practitioner is provided through the Institute’s Enquiry Circulation Service ¨ Training & Education The Institute is a well-recognised source of speakers for conferences
and seminars on licensing intellectual property. It disseminates information through the media and its links
with other bodies such as the Intellectual Property Awareness Group, the
Department of Trade & Industry, the Patent Office, the Chartered
Institute of Patent Agents and the Institute of Patentees &
Inventors. It also provides a
lobbying facility to and from governments internationally. ¨ Speakers for TV, Radio and other Events Assistance is provided for those seeking contributors for television and
radio programmes and other media events concerning licensing and the
commercialisation of invention. The
Institute is also a well-known source of judges for Technology Awards and
invention competitions. ¨ Expert Witnesses Because of the diversity of areas of specialisation, expertise and the
wealth of experience of its Fellow members, the Institute is a useful source
of expert witnesses in cases of disputed and contested licensing matters. ¨ Mediation The Institute provides assistance in obtaining the services of Fellows
experienced in mediation and other ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution)
procedures.
